Jaylin Randolph, or as his fans refer to him, “Jiggy M,” is a rapper, entertainer, and entrepreneur who got his start as a professional performer when his local community market offered to pay him to create a hip-hop song on the topic of healthy eating. The song gave him high exposure with the public and especially children (270k views on Instagram!), engagement that would award Randolph with interest from other companies who wanted what he had to offer.
He found his niche in creating content for children, and enrolled in a CO.STARTERS program at Opportunity Lynchburg to establish and grow his business. After learning how to write a business plan, file taxes, and handle red tape, Randolph went on to start his company, calling it H.i.L.i.F. for “Here I Live In Fun.” He now works with companies, brands, and organizations to help reach their target audience (mainly children) using music videos, workshops, and performances. He is currently in the process of rolling out his offerings to a few different schools across the state of Virginia. Randolph enjoys teaching children through creativity.
Of his program experience at Opportunity Lynchburg he says, “There’s no glitz and glam when it comes to this course—it’s the actual and factual. The best part about CO.STARTERS is that you learn in a personal, realistic setting and you are surrounded by people who have succeeded and failed in business. It’s eye-opening.”
